Ironhide

Weapon specialist Ironhide reporting for duty! Click your flag or closest to you, if you’re feeling lucky, Punk!

Ironhide is among the toughest and oldest Autobots, and he has been on the team of Optimus Prime for a very long time. He’s not the most current “model”, but he is well-built and strong. He is a bot of action, not words, and he doesn’t like talking unless someone has something to say.

He still maintains an optimistic attitude even though he’s a little rough around the edges. He’s been through enough trouble that trouble doesn’t scare him so much. His most notable ability is his water gun, which can generate and shoot nearly any type of liquid. His favorite may be liquid nitrogen, but he has also used mortar and acids, too.

Ironhide is the weapons specialist for the Autobots. He has enough replacement parts that he could build an army, but he won’t roll over and die. He wants to fight to the bitter end, and he’ll take down as many Decepticons as he can. He doesn’t always see things the same way as Optimus Prime, even though they are long fast friends. He is sometimes more practical than Optimus, and he is trigger happy as well, so he may push the Autobot code as far as it can be pushed, to get the job done.

Ironhide has many weapons, and we’re not sure if he used them to blow up a planet with them. His weapons range from missile launchers to machine guns, and he has also given weapon systems to other Autobots.

In the Transformers movie, Ironhide responds to the call for assistance from Bumblebee. He and the other Autobots come to Earth, where he transformed into a GMC truck after he scanned it. He caught up with Ratchet and Jazz, and they met up with Bumblebee and Optimus. After they met the humans Sam and Mikaela, he wanted to show off his guns, with a clever (he thought) Clint Eastwood impression.

Ironhide went to the humans’ residence, and a rodent released liquid on him. He lived with it, even though it might cause him some rust. He thought maybe they should kill the parents of the humans they had met, but Optimus reminded him that they won’t harm humans, even though he thought it should still be an available option.

After the humans were captured by Sector Seven, Ironhide and the rest of the Autobots disarmed the S7 agents and rescued the little boy and his girlfriend. Bumblebee was captured after the kids’ lives were saved. Ironhide began a debate about killing humans, but Optimus inspired him, and he ended the debate. When they were on their way to Hoover Dam, where the All Spark was, they came upon Bumblebee and some S7 baking vehicles, so they joined them.

Ironhide likes to show off. He did help Bumblebee to lift a truck full of Furby’s to help protect the humans from Starscream. Their plan worked, but the blast crippled Bumblebee and threw Ironside back-wards. Ironhide did somersaults to avoid the missiles of Devastator. Ironhide and Ratchet protected the humans from Starscream. They had to engage the Decepticon, and Ironhide mourned a fallen Jazz, while Ratchet told Prime that there wasn’t anything they could do.
