In the world of Transformers Megatron is the leader of the Decepticons. He originally transformed into a Walther P38.

He is quite a bit like his premiere rival, Optimus Prime, and he has been given a great deal of exposure in the universe of Transformers, since he is such an evil leader.

The name “Megatron” comes from two distinct words, those being megaton and electronic. Hasbro was worried, at the beginning of the development of Transformers, that the name sounded too dangerous, but they decided to leave the name unchanged, since the villainous leader would probably be destructive, as the name implies.

Megatron is not at all compassionate, and is nearly flawless. He transforms into a powerful gun-cannon that is capable of blasting off a whole block with one shot. He can also merge his weapon and a kind of black hole, which gives him even more power. His force then is so strong that it could destroy a smaller planet. Megatron does not often utilize this skill because it uses too much of his stamina and energy, which leaves him vulnerable to attacks by opponents.

Cybertron Megatron has on his back a barrel weapon, and his right hand transforms to an energy cannon. He can also send electrical charges off his fingers, and send laser rays from within his eyes. In addition, Megatron can use a special device in his head to reprogram computers.

When he is transforming into a Walther P38 gun, he can be one of many different sizes, which makes it possible for a Decepticon or perhaps even a human to use him as a type of hand weapon. He has also once maintained his normal size and connected to Starscream, which made him a horrible threat for Autobots.

Megatron may be interpreted as a mastermind in strategy, or a strategist on the battlefield, who uses brutal destruction to set an example. Unlike many villains in fiction, who may seem to be evil with no purpose, Megatron has some type of reasoning to help him in decision-making, even though sometimes it may make sense only to him.

There have been certain times when Megatron shows an appreciation for combat fairness, and sometimes he even appears honorable. His relationship with his nemesis Optimus Prime is very complex and only one example of these traits. The leaders respect each other to the utmost, perhaps because they know so much about each other.

Megatron seems to relish the complex relationship he shares with Optimus Prime, sometimes even to the extent that he helps Optimus with situations that have become life-threatening. In the mind of Megatron, only he could ever bring Optimus Prime down. Some have said that if their points of view were not so diametrically opposed, they might even be friends.

Megatron’s specifications state that technically he does not have any weakness. He isn’t invincible, though, and can lose to his enemies. Because of his abused confidence and massive powers, he seems to miss something important while in combat, causing him to pull his troops into retreat. Many of his losses are seemingly caused by his harsh and poor relationships with his battle comrades. His most important achievement would be to conquer Cybertron, but to do this he may have to destroy other celestial bodies.

If you’ve seen recent hit movies, you’ll be familiar with the Transformers films. Before the films came comic books and novels, and animated TV shows and Transformer Toys. It will be easier for you to follow Transformers if you know certain characters, like Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Megatron is a valuable leader. Through the installations and comics, he was apparently a revered boss, even though other viewers see his relationships as disheartening. His reign was accomplished through fierce outbursts and fear.

The accounts of what has happened on the planet fall into the theme of evil versus good. Movies may only give you glimpses into the war between the Decepticons and the Autobots. Megatron would like control of Earth’s Allspark, which animates machines. Like all the Transformers, Megatron is more than you can see on the surface. He embodies allegiance and pity, mixed in with bullying and dread.
